Jon Scaife is a guitarist and ceilidh fiddler. He's performed throughout Britain at festivals and clubs and on many occasions in the USA and Canada. He’s been heard often on BBC radio and also on CBC and NPR in North America. He once heard one of his compositions on the radio in Singapore! He’s recorded with Judy Dunlop, Bob Bray, Gypsy Reel and others.

The Blue House Blues Band have been together in various guises for nearly forty years – over twenty with the current line up. They specialise in early country blues, but may venture from time to time into more recent urban blues of the 1950s. Unusually for a blues band these days they do not perform with a drummer, relying on syncopation in the way that early blues players like Charley Patton and Robert Johnson did.  Their music, whilst staying true to original versions, often mixes up tunes from different bluesmen to provide a rich tapestry of performance. Songs from blues artists such as Robert Johnson, Willie Brown, Blind Willie McTell, McKinley Monganfield, Muddy Waters and Bessie Smith feature in their sets.

Main guests are Judy Dunlop and John Scaife. There will also be the Blue House Blues Band, who specialise in Country Blues from the Mississippi Delta, and SomeAntics (sum-an-tiques) – 3 blokes in a band.

Judy Dunlop has long been held in high regards by leading figures in the world of folk music. Her love of song, paired with her ability to sing a repertoire unfettered by strict genre limitation, means she brings rich variety of storytelling through her music; a fine writer, Judy also includes her own compositions in her performances. Known for her peerless renditions of tender ballads, it has been said she can ‘turn any song into a classic.’ She has worked and recorded with members of Fairport Convention, The Albion Band, Show of Hands, Mick Ryan and guitarists Steve Marsh and Jon Scaife. She has worked and collaborated with Ashley Hutchings. Simon Nicol of Fairport Convention said of Judy ‘It’s always been my greatest pleasure and treat to work and listen to Judy, now it’s your turn – enjoy!’

SomeAntics - having not performed as a trio for a combined period of 172 years, the laws of natural progression brought together these talents in an attempt to discover the fourth chord. With backgrounds in Classical, Jazz, Folk and Rock, SomeAntics blend songs and instrumentals to create their own style of music. The Vocals and Guitar playing of Ian Price, the dexterity of Neil McKay on Guitar and Bass, and Nigel Corbett on Fiddle & Bouzouki, combine to create a performance for all to relax and enjoy. Octave Mandolin & Mandolin have been added to the instrumental arsenal since this was originally devised.
